A Good Deed: Nice entry into Castle Harbor. Hamish grew up in Castle Harbor and carried heavy baggage when he left. When he was younger his friend/boyfriend Xavier was his partner in crime. Hamish shared all his secrets. When he left for college and grew up, Xavier joined a cult and because a bit of an eco terrorist. Hamish's dad died leaving him primo land. Turns out, it borders Xavier's puffin preserve.Gideon, resentful because his cousin Dean was appointed CEO of Blue Star over him. He understands because his more riskier opportunities did not meet expectations. Gideon and Hamish are slightly attracted as Gideon hopes to buy Hamish's land and build a resort. Hamish just wants to get as far away from Castle Harbor as possible. Dean has other ideas. Xavier is furious and has been less than truthful about his relationship with Hamish. Will Hamish sell his property? Does Gideon get his relationship? How will the locals react? This was a good introduction. The characters were a bit stiff, not heavy on the romance, affection or feelings toward each other. The ending was abrupt.Breaking Ground: Totally dramatically hot! Jesse is comitted, dedicated and loyal to his environmental cause. Braden is dedicated and comitted to his job and loyal to his employees. Jesse and Braden are on opposite sides of the development plan. They shared an instant lust look upon first seeing each other. The secon time they met, the instant lust look was confirmed and reinforced. Can they end on the other side in harmony and peace? Will their business interests always conflict? Is there a path to a business solution? Are they compatible beyond the lust? Can they like each other? The book was a fun read. Castle Harbor sounds like a delightful place.Making Plans: Sweet! Gotta read this series! We get up close and personal with Lucas, who is a totally nice guy struggling with his B&B while emotially supporting his sister and her two kids. We get to know more about Zach who is financially supporting his sister and her son. The design of Blue Star Resorts is progressing thanks to Zach's expertise. Lucas is fearful his B&B will be put out of business. As they grow closer, their concerns for their future, the future of Castle Harbor and the future of Blue Star Resorts becomes more complex. Then a wrench is thrown in that could destroy everything! With all that stacked against them, can Lucas and Zach find a HEA? Will Blue Star end Castle Harbor as the resisents know it? Will the B&B go out of business? This is a good story! Lucas and Zach are adorable people. The author did a good job exploring their personalities and characters. Amazing series!Rough Waters: When you are willing to conquer your fear, the world opens up! Quinn, runs the boat tours, lost his sister to cancer and is raising her son, Sam. Lance, the resort decorator, lost his sister in a water event and has been terrified of water ever since. Quinn, rushing hits Lance's car and is rude. Lance asks Lucas about Quinn and asks him out. Sam needs Quinn and he rethinks idea of dating. They try again, Quinn cooks a meal on his boat and Lance panics, his turn to be rude to Quinn. So, they both live in fear behind their walls. Can they breath them? Can they go around? Do they want to? This story continues this awesome series! J.P. continues to hit the high bar and leaves us with an entertaining, amazing story. The characters are likeable and well developed. The story is sad/happy at the same time. Nice job!Safe Harbor:Just one more. I found this story difficult. Alex ran the family business Castle Harbor Café. He was doing well and thinking of expanding. He had a mantra for how he spent his day. His Mom was concerned he worked too much. He was a workaholic like his deceased father. Tyson, and Alex met when Alex discovered Tyson drunk in the alley behind the shop. He gave him coffee, aspirin and called his boss Brandon who excorted him home. Alex was very attracted to Tyson who was handsome and a foot taller than Alex. Tyson talked to his Aunt who tried to encourage him to be aware of his allergy to alcohol and how he needed to avoid alcohol and reknew his committment. The voice in his head, told him to stop drinking. Does Tyson lisen? Does his drinking escalate into a problem that affects constructing the resort? Good storyLast Resort: J.P. continues to sail over the bar set for series books! Wyatt, event planner, working on grand opening team. Dean, CEO after his grandfather dies. Currently, his grandmother is dying and his position as CEO is being challenged. They met one night, had feels. Next day realized they were working on Blue Star project. Wyatt wants to stay professional and avoid any conflict of interest because Wyatt has history with this issue. But . . . This is an amazing entertaining story demonstrating how Wyatt and Dean balance projects and personal lives. There are rocks, sticks, innuendo and conflicts thrown at them daily. But they are strong men. Will the opening be a hit for both? Can Wyatt and Dean find their HEA? I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
